Program:
As a trumpet player, I feel in some ways the most familiar with this instrument.  However, an ensemble of trumpets poses many challenges for a composer.  This piece was written with this school's ensemble in mind, which included both skilled jazz and classical players.  I wanted to show off both styles, and provide a real showpiece for their talents.
